WARNING: Comments will be stripped from yaml files.

Installation:

  1. Download jar file from the link above
  2. Place the jar file in one of the following locations:
    • The same folder as your newlife jar or exe file.
    • Your newlife_gamedata folder.
    • Your newlife_gamedata/user_created_npcs folder
  3. Run the jar file.
  4. If that doesn't work then update your java.


Features:

  • Open/Save/Edit newlife YAML(.yml) files.
  • List all newlife custom NPCs and add, edit, copy, or delete them from within the interface including multiple NPCs per file.
  • Built-in descriptions for almost everything.
  • Saves window size, divider location, look and feel, selected tab and selected NPC.
  • Only 74 KB.

    There's a bug due to a misspelled trait. In the file, "Conscientious" is misspelled as "Conscientous" (no second i) and as a result adding it makes a created npc invalid. Thank you for your work making this; going in and manually adding (or disabling) that single trait if I need to is much easier than doing everything by hand.

    Wish this could get updated again. I know there are other character creators but this is one is far easier to use and manage multiple characters with.
